“Da rollt das Bett gehorsam zum Fenster …” (Erich Kästner) set the tone for Zwillingsspiel, a joint design workshop between TU Braunschweig and Graz University of Technology. Co-developed and coordinated with Prof. Andreas Lechner and Jasmin Moor, the studio linked two cohorts and perspectives through the idea of “twins” as a productive design lens—parallel concepts, mirrored constraints, and small shifts that generate radically different spatial outcomes. Set in the urban fabric of Graz, the workshop explored the relationship between façade and interior typology: students documented selected façades, decoded the underlying plan logics, and tested subtle variations through quick sketches and collages. The week culminated in an isometric sectional drawing that synthesised observation, typological reading, and transformation into one coherent representation.
