A little about me
Hi, I’m Maike, an architectural researcher based in Graz, interested in how buildings (and the surrounding lives) change over time. I work with design, drawing, and writing to explore existing structures and reimagine what they can become.
My path has taken me through architecture studies in Weimar, Lucerne, and Graz, as well as work in practice, publishing, and communication—from architecture offices to editorial work. Alongside my research, I’ve been involved in teaching and mentoring and I also work independently in publication, PR, and print design.
I’m drawn to projects that connect careful analysis with creative proposals, especially where transformation, reuse, and new forms of everyday space are at stake.
Let’s turn what’s already there into something resilient and meaningful!
